As we're talking about machines in science right now, this video explains how a group of young men created the first computer 'Colussus' during the first World War. It is thought that they helped to stop the war from continuing because they were able to decipher codes which the Germans used to send and receive messages. The video is quite long, but you may want to see parts of it where you can get an idea of how big the first computer was, and the people working on it who were very young to be responsible for something so important.
