Bonfire Night

Here is our Bonfire Night mural. In Bilingual Schools in the Community of Madrid, everyone always celebrates Halloween, but having grown up in London, I remember celebrating Bonfire Night which is celebrated on the 5th November. I have some great memories of the freezing cold nights with bonfires, fireworks like catherine wheels, roman candles and sparklers, as well as the delicious sausages and jacket potatoes roasted on the bonfire. There are several posts on this blog about Bonfire Night and Guy Fawkes so if you are interested you can read more!

Christmas

Here is our Christmas Mural.  It's based on the song about the 12 days of Christmas and we did it so that my class would be able to understand what they were singing about and for them to remember the order correctly. It really helped!

The Selfish Giant

This is a wall mural my 3rd year class did about the story of the Selfish Giant. We put the story on the green cards to the right of the mural. The children coloured in the mural using crayons and the additional birds and flowers were printed off separately for them to colour and stick on. They really enjoyed doing it!
