SCIENCE VIDEOS WEEK 19/3-26/3

These are the videos you need for Science over this week and next week. I've put all three in the same post so it's easy for you to see. With each video do the same routine:

1. Read the questions.
2. Watch the video and see if you can answer these questions.
3. Copy them into your notebook and write the answers. You can pause the video if necessary.

Watch the video and answer the questions:
  1. Where was there growing demand for independence?
  2. What happened in 1895?
  3. Who was interested in Cuba?
  4. What was the USA unhappy about?
  5. What happened in February 1898?
  6. When did war break out?
  7. What happened in the Battle of Manila Bay?
  8. Who leaded the revolutionaries against the Spanish?
  9. Where did Teddy Roosevelt earn his fame?
  10. What happened in Puerto Rico?
  11. When was the truce?
  12. Why was the war with the Philippines longer and more costly?

  1. When was the Second republic proclaimed?
  2. What were the names of the presidents of the 2nd Republic?
  3. What was the novelty in the new Constitution?
  4. What were the new reforms?
  5. Why were there violent conflicts?

Good morning everybody!
How are you doing? Today I'm going to put some videos on the blog for science. One is extra work but in the mail we'll be sending to your parents it tells you what you need to do.
Here is an example of the Father's Day card and two geometric Meninas. See if you can guess whose they are!

I'm also going to put a video for the Art class of next week, which is to make a Van Gogh chair. There is a template but if you want a challenge you can try to design your own. Those who want to can send their photos of artwork in the email we use to communicate with your parents. If not, then when we go back you can bring them to me physically.
Anyway, bye for now
Yvonne
