Madagascar by Caolan
Well, we may not be able to travel right now, but we can still imagine being on holiday in a far away place. Here is a presentation Caolan prepared about a country called Madagascar. There is also a film called Madagascar which I recommend.

Penicillin
As you know, in English you had to do the assignment about the book which told us about Penicillin, where a mistake led to a discovery. Here are some of the best presented tasks before I correct them.

You're going to have lots of free time over the Christmas holidays so why don't you find some good books to read?
Click on the picture to go to a page where you can read and play some games with stories:
And here's one where you can listen to stories and even create your own stories:

And finally Storybird, where you can also create your own stories. Have fun!

This week we have been practising a poem to recite/read to other classes. Some of the students visited their brothers or sisters in other classes and recited /read the poem with the poster to show all the things the old woman ate. Here is the poem which is called "There was an old woman"
There was an old woman who swallowed a fly,
I don't know why she swallowed a fly,
There was an old woman who swallowed a spider,
That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her,
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly,
I don't know why she swallowed the fly,
There was an old woman who swallowed a bird,
How absurd! to swallow a bird,
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider,
That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her,
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly,
I don't know why she swallowed the fly,
Imagine that! to swallow a cat,
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird,
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider,
That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her,
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly,
I don't know why she swallowed the fly,
There was an old woman who swallowed a dog,
What a hog! to swallow a dog,
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat,
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird,
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider,
That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her,
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly,
I don't know why she swallowed the fly,
Just opened her throat! to swallow a goat,
She swallowed the goat to catch the dog,
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat,
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird,
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider,
That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her,
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly,
I don't know why she swallowed the fly,
I don't know how she swallowed a cow!
She swallowed the cow to catch the goat,
She swallowed the goat to catch the dog,
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat,
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird,
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider,
That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her,
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly,
I don't know why she swallowed the fly,
Perhaps she'll die.
There was an old woman who swallowed a horse,
She's dead, of course!
